Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi focuses on innovation and research. The university is setting new standards in information and communication technology, aerospace, logistics, environmental technology and healthcare. To meet the growing influx of students, the current campus of the university will be expanded by an area of 132,000 square meters by the end of the year.
The new classrooms, laboratories and research facilities have the essential parts of the technical workplace facilities equipped by erfi. Almost 100 tables with different technical details are installed here for students and lecturers. This equipment provides the students on campus with the most sustainable and technologically best working and learning environments. The Khalifa University has set itself the goal of being the center for creativity and innovation in the country and a starting point for the development of the future of this region.
There is a total of 7 rooms, each with 14 tables for students and a table for the lecturer. The rooms of the laboratories are:
- Senior Design Lab and Digital Embedded Lab
- Dynamics and Control Lab
- Network and Software Lab
- Power Lab, Project Lab and Telecom Lab
All tables are equipped with the sensor-controlled RGB LED task light and the RGB LED indication light from erfi. Each table in the elneos® connect series is electrically height-adjustable and equipped with the erfi-bridge. This allows the highest level of ergonomic workplace requirements. Most of the tables are doubly stocked and can be used by two students. In addition to the laboratory furniture and the test equipment, "All-In-One-PCs" were also installed. The table system as well all the seats are designed in ESD and thus meet the standards for electronic laboratories.
All lab tables are connected with each other via networking and the web-based software allows remote control of all desktop functions and devices. Thanks to the compact and space-saving design of the elneos® five, the laboratories were equipped with the highest performing devices.

The Khalifa University had deliberately opted for the quality of erfi. It was important to the university to make the laboratories sustainable, networked, efficient and ergonomic.
