At this year's Productronica 2015, erfi will present the new standalone housing program as well as the new 19" table and 19" cockpit superstructures.
The innovative device series elneos five, basic and highlab can be operated with the newly developed housing as a desktop device.
For this purpose, an independent new standalone housing program was developed, which meets the very high design and functional requirements of the device series. The materials used guarantee optimum protection for the installed components. By incorporating professional 19" recording technology, 19" / 3 U partial bays can be optimally integrated.
The body is made of anodized extruded aluminum profiles. Thus, the built-in devices are well protected against mechanical stress, dirt and other influences. The side functional handles made of plastic injection-molded parts with an incorporated recess ensure good handling and leave a high-quality impression. These functional elements are available in two different colors (green or gray).
Due to a modern surface perforation in the graphite-black side parts made of plastic, the supply of fresh air is guaranteed at all times. When placing multiple housings, table structures or cockpits next to one another, special recesses guarantee the supply of fresh air from above and below.
A well thought-out system ensures the right airflow! The plastic ensures 100% contact protection.
Optionally, all standalone housing models can use an LED RGB indication light band. The indication light is particularly important in connection with the device series elneos five. The elneos five series features built-in limiters for power supplies, power arbitrary generators, digital multimeters, and power meters coupled directly to 8 digital outputs. These signals control the indication light.
The indication light thus ensures maximum safety at the workplace and represents a sensible option. Whether in the laboratory for long-term experiments or in the field of training facilities. The indication light increases occupational safety to a considerable extent.
A completely new modular housing concept, built up by multi-profile technology, enables the integration of different device models through 2 different construction depths and arbitrary widths. Furthermore, the housing can be used directly as a device carrier for the laboratory world by the extruded profile technology. The housings are mounted over the entire bench width either directly on the table top or on the third level as a self-supporting device cockpit.
The new aluminum enclosures are excellently suited as table superstructures and cockpits and are used to hold all 3 U units of the elneos five, highlab and basic series. They are a sensible alternative to the previous structures and cockpits made of laminate material. The new functional elements include a ventilation system, which ensures sufficient air flow even when placed adjacent to other units!
The RGB LED indication lights can be placed either on the top or in the front of the aluminum housing. The modern and sensor-controlled RGB LED workplace lamp of the workplace series elneos connect is invisibly embedded on the underside of the cockpit.
We used the latest LED technology in the in-house development of the lighting of elneos connect. The modern and sensor-controlled RGB LED workplace luminaire in the elneos connect furniture series is concealed on the underside of the cockpit.
The RGB LED indication lights can be placed either on the top or in the front of the aluminum housing.
In the lower profile of the cockpit, the swiveling RGB LED work light for the table is invisibly housed. This light is controlled by powerful RGB LEDs and white high power LEDs. The light can be swiveled on its holder, it is dimmable and the lights colors can be adjusted freely.
Another plus is the adaptation of the light color to the current daylight situation and the avoidance of shadows. The new luminaire can also be used as a single luminaire and is additionally available with just white LEDs if preferred.
The indication light is a special LED light guide which can be operated either as signal indicator or ambient light. Flowing color transitions and flashing functions are also possible.
With this product development, erfi sets new standards and opens up new sales markets.
The elneos® five device system and the elneos® connect workstation system received the reddot Design Award. Shortly thereafter the German Design Award and the Focus Open followed and in January 2014 erfi received the if Product Design Award for elneos®.
